Common sequence formats such .ab1 .fastq .gb (GenBank) and .fasta, as well as .geneious format can be imported.
***Note: If you are importing large numbers of individual sequence files (eg. more than 100 MB), we recommend that you import them as a single zipped file.
We also support importing sequences from .csv and .xlsx files as single sequences or as paired chains. See this article for how to correctly import .csv files as sequences.
Importing other file types
.csv files can also be imported for adding assay data to your sequences
.pdf and .png files can also be uploaded and viewed in Geneious Biologics.
For more detailed information about how to upload files, see here.
Tabular results can be exported into Excel format (.xlsx) or Comma Separated values (.csv).
Sequences can be exported in .geneious .gb (GenBank) .fasta and fasta compressed formats. Due to file format limitations, not all of these formats will preserve all of the sequence features and annotations viewable in Geneious Biologics.
Graphs can be exported as image (.png) or the underlying data can be exported as table (.csv)
Notice that all export operations from the graphs tab are automatically downloaded, while other export operations need the user to download the exported document from the jobs table (see screenshot below).
